PRESENTATION AT THE 19TH EUROPEAN WEEK OF REGIONS AND CITIES

This year we successfully applied again for participation in the event “European Week of Regions and Cities”, which has been held under this name since 2016. For the second year in a row, it took place virtually, between 11 and 14 October. This year’s themes were “Cohesion”, “Digital Transformation”, “Citizen Involvement” and “Green Transition”. Regional Development Agency ROD Ajdovščina presented the LIFE ViVaCCAdapt project under the section “Green Transition”. The project is co-financed by the LIFE program and by the Ministry of the Environment and Spatial Planning of the Republic of Slovenia.
The ZOOM event took place on 12 October 2021. We titled it “Agriculture in transition to a new era” and presented three measures that were developed or revived within the project.
In addition to an interesting presentation, we also attracted the attention of the participants with two short films, which present two of the measures in the project in a viewer-friendly way: DSSI – decision support system for irrigation and green windbreaks.
The films can also be found on the RDA ROD Ajdovščina YouTube channel. Both promotional films present the measures and their effects in an instructive and interesting way, and encourage the dissemination of knowledge and the development of measures in the widest possible area.
